When a Student Gets Their PermitWith drivers education training, a student may take the road test for their license after having their learner's permit for a period of 8 months. Without a drivers education course, this is a one year waiting period.
Our drivers education instructors have 10 practice driving hours only with each student, so they will require more practice with you! We recommend you to take the first few months that they have their permit and drive with them as often as you can. Tips for teaching a new driver:
This will prepare them for success when we begin driving with them. After this initial driving, they may be ready to practice driving in the town of Woodstock with our experienced instructors. We will teach parallel parking and the rules of the road; everything they need to know to pass their road test.
Driver instructors book the road test for their students, although parents can book if preferred, and students are able to use our car for their road test! |
Student Comments
This course was very well planned and executed. Janice did an excellent job at explaining things thoroughly, and is very patient with questions from students. There was a good mix of active discussion, questions, worksheets and traditional teaching as well. |
She was friendly, welcoming & shared information valuable to the course. Took time to answer questions. She commanded the respect of the room. - Alison Stewart |
I like this class, it is very inclusive and sometimes actually fun! Thank you for providing a class that can be taken over a few days of March break. It is much easier to do that than a series of evenings. |
